Bringing a tired Brickwork facade back to life. |
Emanuel School is a Grade II listed property in Battersea, South London.
Several hot steam and abrasive cleans had failed to bring the school building back up to the restored standard that the school wanted for the main building. In addition areas of ageing brick were frost damaged and mortar had been patched up in various colours over the last 150 years.
Several hot steam and abrasive cleans had failed to bring the school building back up to the restored standard that the school wanted for the main building. In addition areas of ageing brick were frost damaged and mortar had been patched up in various colours over the last 150 years.
The solution was brick and mortar tinting, following some localised brick and mortar repairs.
We firstly completed a sample panel for approval by both the school and the local planners, focusing on creating a colour blend that would improve the colour depth and consistency of the brickwork, whilst maintaining its age and character.
Once we had completed brick and mortar repairs we then proceeded to colour tint all the bricks and mortar, working around tight timescales.
A great transformation that really brings life back into the building.
